Derren Brown - The Events - 11th September - Some Updates - Borderwrenn

Since I posted my 3 part mini-series about Derren Brown's events there have been some updates, more viral marketing and the information my previous articles were based on has changed. Now an edited "reversed" version of the advert is now being shown as the main advert for the show, stating that is starts on the 11th September at 10pm. Originally the show was thought to be airing on the 09/09/09 (there's a countdown on The Events website), but a quick look at Channel 4's Listings for the 9th show a 10 minute Derren Brown show from 10.35-10.45. This is the same time the live Wednesday lottery drawn is on BBC1..All of the world cup qualifiers on this day would have finished by then I believe, so it is almost definitely a lottery trick which will be the first "event". The Friday show on the 11th, will apparently reveal how he did it (or rather misdirect us into how he wants us to think he did it..). The listings say:

Some people on the internets found that the logo on the baloon is actually the logo for the Poland football team. So yet more football references.

Talking about football, another official Derren Brown website was found http://www.snoitciderpserocsnerred.co.uk/ (derren score predictions.co.uk backwards) where Derren apparently succesfully predicted the Man Utd vs Aresenal result before kick off. It says to check back next week for more predictions, and I will definitely be checking back and placing a bet..

I saw that prediction site before the match and didnt really think much of it! But when my bf freaked at the score… (an unfortunate arsenal fan) i remembered Derren’s prediction and freaked out!!!!! that man is not normal! i cant wait for the events…..

Also, in a blog post that was posted nearly a year ago (I actually remember reading it then as well) Derren posts pictures of him from his iPhone on an open top bus is oxford stating that he is "Currently in the middle of filming on an open top bus around Oxford st under the Christmas lights (not pictured). Tried something I hope will pay off in a year or so. Could be quite exciting.". This is obviously a reference to The Events, and it appears considerable planning has gone into these stunts. Let's get hyped!

The fact he is filming in/on a red bus should be ringing some alarm bells. The bus on the advert with the lottery slogan on it is a double decker red bus (although it doesn't appear to be an open top). Is Derren going to claim to have been influencing us for nearly a year? Another possibility is with all the backwards/reversed references. He could have made predictions up to a year ago about things that are going to happen today? This is like a long version of what he usually does at his live shows where he opens a box that he has apparently written predictions in before the show started, about events seemingly unique to that show..

Back to the lottery, the numbers in the advert appear to be 6, 10, 22, 25, 47 (from an unofficial site). That's one number short. I think at the start of the show on the 9th he will say he's hidden all the numbers in the advert except one, wish everyone good luck if you found them, then reveal the last number just before the lottery is drawn - and they all come up. A mind blowing stunt if this works.

Just a heads up, these numbers are probably wrong. I'll be posting another article soon about another website that has been found, with some possible exclusive content.

The skeptic would say the live feed of the lottery was on a time delay (hands up if your going to have 2 TV's on the go!). But the numbers (well 5 of them) were given to us to use in the advert which has been airing for weeks, or even predicted nearly a year ago on that open top bus from his blog?
